The recreation “Os Piratas”, which is based around the Forte de Nossa Senhora das Neves, in Leça da Palmeira, combines festivals, gastronomy, cultural entertainment and the preservation of our intangible heritage. This way of remembering the past, respecting it and bringing it closer to the citizens, is, I am sure, a responsible way of building our common future.
